Are you currently developing applications in the procedural way, but want to move over to object-oriented development ?

You've read about all the advantages of object-oriented, and you are ready to take the plunge. But you don't know how. You have sent some of your staff to object-oriented training courses, and they came back with their head spinning and the impression that it is way too difficult for real people.

We are not saying that it is easy. But we are saying that some people make it look more difficult than it really is. There are several possible reasons:

  • Some teachers have an in-depth knowledge of OO, but they've never done any procedural programming.
  • Some teachers are old hands at procedural programming, and were recently sent to an OO course. When they came back, they were named OO specialists and trainers.

At Skopos Consulting, we are old hands at procedural programming, so we know the way you think, the way you solve problems.

But we've made the transiition to object-oriented over eight years ago, so we know that way of thinking, too. What is more, we've made just about all the mistakes that there are to make during that transition.

Therefore, we think we are ideally suited to provide mentoring services. We normally don't provide education and training ourselves, but when you come back from that course, we'll help you apply the theory.
